CIFCA monitors, analyses and promotes opportunities for dialogue between the EU and groups excluded from political and economic power, in defence of their rights and demands, related to relations between EU and Central America and Mexico.
CIFCA carries out advocacy work with European public authorities to remind them about their obligations to respect, protect and guarantee human rights.
CIFCA promotes consultation with and participation of those affected by EU policies, ensuring that they are heard and can make proposals. CIFCA also supports initiatives to monitor the impact of trade agreements as a basis for proposing alternatives.
CIFCA mobilises its members to act and seeks alliances with other civil society sectors in Central America, Mexico and Europe.
